This year, CBSE is conducting JEE Main in two modes- offline & online on April 8, 2018 and April 15 & 16, 2018 respectively. Lakhs of students will be competing for thousands of seats in the most prestigious engineering colleges in India such as NITs, IIITs and GFTIs etc. The application form is available online and the deadline to apply for JEE Main 2018 is January 1. However, the deadline for fee payment is January 2. The period of making corrections in the application will be provided after application deadline. Admit cards will be issued for correctly submitted applications in March, 2018. JEE Main 2018 is of 360 marks with 90 MCQs from PCM. JEE Main 2018 Pattern
JEE Main consists of two papers- Paper I for Under-Graduate Engineering Exam and Paper II for Under-Graduate Architecture Exam. Paper-I will be based on Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and Paper-II will be based on Mathematics, Drawing Ability and Aptitude. Of all the appeared students in JEE Main, top 2,24,000 aspirants will compete for JEE Advanced 2018.

JEE Main 2018 Eligibility Criteria
Before you apply for JEE Main 2018, go through the eligibility criteria:
Date of Birth: The candidates whose date of birth is on or after October 1, 1993 can apply for JEE Main 2018. SC, ST and PwD candidates get the relaxation of 5 years. Hence, the candidates in aforementioned categories who are born on or after October 1, 1988 can apply for this exam.
Qualifying examination: Candidates who have passed class 12 or appearing in class 12 this year can take JEE Main 2018.
Year of appearance in qualifying examination: Candidates who have passed class 12 in 2016 or 2017 or appearing in 2018 are eligible to appear in JEE Main 2018. Candidates appeared before 2016 or after 2018 are not eligible to take this exam.
Number of subjects in qualifying exam: The candidates must have studied at least 5 subjects in class 12.
Number of attempts: A candidate can appear maximum 3 numbers of times.
JEE Main 2018 Application Form
Application process of JEE Main 2018 is going on. Aadhar Card is mandatory to apply for this exam. Mode of application is online only. Follow the given below steps to apply for JEE Main 2018:
- · Register by filling the details: Nationality, State of Eligibility, ID Type, ID Number, Name, Date of Birth, Gender and Security Pin.
- · Upload scanned photograph and signature.
- · Enter only correct details in the application form.
- · Pay application fee for the exam.
- · After form submission, an acknowledgement page will be displayed mentioning Application Number. Take the print out and keep it safely for future reference. There is no need to send it to authorities.

Mode of Payment
For JEE Main 2018, candidates can register by paying fee either in online mode through Credit Card/Debit Card/PayTM or offline mode through deposit fee as cash in Syndicate/Canara/ICICI in the form of Challan.
JEE Main 2018 Syllabus

Marking Scheme of JEE Main 2018
- · Candidate gets 4 marks for each correct answer in Paper-I and MCQs in Paper-II.
- · There is negative marking. One mark is deducted for each incorrect answer in Paper-I and MCQs in Paper-II.

I. Offline Exam: 8th April 2018

Paper-2 (B.Arch. / B. Planning) of JEE Main 2018 will be conducted only in Offline - Pen and Paper mode. And the online and offline modes are available for Paper-1 (B.E./B. Tech.) only.
